Mask talk about nature, life, human being and elevation”

To appreciate the work of Harouna Ouédraogo, we need to like painting.
Not the painting which is telling a story or painting which illustrates or represents but Painting for itself. We need to like its colour, its materiality the gesture who bring them to the canvas. The “painting-poetry” or “scream-painting”. His big canvas are they abstract ? Or are they an immersion in the intimacy of nature ? We don’t know. They lead to a sensitive and sensual experimentation. We could speak about “abstract expressionism”, like we used to do with the american painters in the 6O’s.
